Associate Corporate Counsel

About the role

Join Amazon's Legal Department as an Associate Corporate Counsel, supporting the fast‑growing AWS business across the Asia‑Pacific region. You will advise on import, customs, export controls, sanctions and other international trade matters that enable cutting‑edge hardware and technology deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel on import, customs, export controls, sanctions and other international trade laws for advanced technologies.
• Develop innovative compliance solutions that balance business objectives with regulatory requirements.
• Research and analyze evolving regulatory landscapes, translating complex legal implications for business stakeholders.
• Support regulatory engagements and offer strategic input on legal and commercial decisions.
• Manage multiple complex legal matters simultaneously with precision and creativity.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor degree and membership in at least one state bar (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years of legal experience.
• Experience in trade compliance, customs operations, customs brokerage, supply‑chain or logistics.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and effective communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and interact directly with all organizational levels.
