Associate Editor – Discover Journals (Humanities & Social Science)

About the role

The Discover Journals series supports researchers in sharing discoveries quickly and transparently. As an Associate Editor you will manage a portfolio of inclusive journals, ensuring integrity, speedy review, and excellent author service.

Key responsibilities

• Project‑manage the timely launch of new journals, meeting Board Member and content thresholds.
• Develop proposals for new journal launches, applying strategic and scientific insight.
• Create and execute a development strategy for each journal in your portfolio, aligned with the Discover Series goals.
• Collaborate with internal teams and content acquisition groups to support subject‑specific strategy.
• Oversee editorial handling of articles throughout the review process.

Required profile

• Experience managing journal portfolios and driving strategic development.
• Ability to liaise with internal staff, external editors, and the scientific community.
• Strong understanding of the publication process and author service standards.
