Associate Heart Valve Specialist

About the role

The Associate Heart Valve Specialist works on the sewing assembly line of stent and valve medical devices, ensuring each component meets strict regulatory and company standards. This hands‑on position operates in a clean‑room environment and requires precise manual work.

Key responsibilities

• Use small hand tools (needles, scissors, forceps, specialized tooling) and equipment (microscope, magnifying lamp, MES) to perform sewing steps on tissue and non‑tissue components.
• Verify completed steps against specifications and record traceable information in device history records, JDE, or other systems.
• Follow work instructions, SOPs and GMP guidelines, including line clearance and workstation sanitization.
• Conduct visual inspections under a microscope and review colleagues’ work for quality compliance.
• Maintain housekeeping, material handling and general area sanitization using approved chemicals.

Required profile

• Secondary education; prior sewing, GMP, clean‑room or medical‑device experience is a plus but not mandatory.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following detailed manufacturing instructions.
• Strong attention to detail, good English communication skills and a team‑oriented attitude.
• Compliance with safety, environmental and pandemic protocols.

Required skills

• Proficiency with small hand tools (needles, scissors, forceps, specialized tooling).
• Experience using a microscope and magnifying lamp for inspection.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with MES and JDE systems.
• High manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination.
