Associate Lawyer – M&A & Capital Markets

About the role

Chevalier Law LLC, a boutique law firm in Singapore, is seeking a motivated Associate to support its corporate and capital markets practice. The successful candidate will work on a variety of transactions, including mergers & acquisitions, IPOs, private placements, and private equity deals, primarily for listed and private companies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of M&A transactions, both public and private.
• Support capital markets activities such as pre‑IPO, IPO, RTO, rights and warrants issuances, and related regulatory compliance.
• Conduct due diligence, draft and review transaction documents, and liaise with clients and counterparties.
• Handle private equity and China‑related transactions, including structuring and documentation.
• Perform corporate and corporate secretarial work for listed and private limited companies.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with 1–3 years of post‑qualification experience.
• Experience in mergers & acquisitions, capital markets, private equity, or related corporate work.
• Strong analytical and drafting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Strong Chinese language proficiency (advantageous).
