Audio Software Engineer (Contract)

About the role

We are looking for an Audio Software Engineer to design and develop SDK drivers and Harmony/Android‑based audio solutions. You will work on end‑to‑end audio architectures, optimizing voice and 3D sound algorithms while ensuring high performance and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement SDK drivers and Harmony/Android audio solutions, covering full audio dynamic architectures.
• Develop and optimise intelligent voice algorithms, 3D audio codecs and sound‑effect processing for efficiency.
• Perform audio quality tuning, support customer integration and deliver solutions under the HiSilicon brand.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams from design through deployment.
• Utilise AI tools and large language models to accelerate coding, testing and debugging, improving R&D efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Strong C/C++ programming background with experience in Linux or embedded operating systems.
• Proven software development expertise, familiar with design principles, development processes and project delivery.
• Experience developing audio system software, codecs or related technologies.
• Ability to use AI‑assisted development tools (code completion, automated testing, intelligent debugging) to speed up workflows.
