Aviation Systems Architect – Innovation Lab

About the role

Thales is seeking an Aviation Systems Architect to join its International Avionics Lab in Singapore. The lab focuses on next‑generation aviation and digital solutions, blending avionics, cloud technologies and advanced software platforms. You will shape the overall system architecture for innovative projects that improve air traffic management and airline/airport operations across the Asia‑Pacific region.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and translate operational needs, business cases, and non‑functional requirements into structured system designs.
• Define the system architectures for the Lab’s platforms and demonstrators, encouraging out‑of‑the‑box thinking and building consensus across multidisciplinary teams.
• Work in an agile, cross‑functional multinational environment, actively supporting team success.
• Guide engineering teams during design, integration and technical decision‑making.
• Lead selected technical projects and coordinate engineering activities to ensure coherent solutions across airline, avionics, cloud, data and communication infrastructures.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in system engineering or architecture roles.
• Background in aerospace, avionics, airline operations or air traffic management, preferably with large‑scale platforms or complex software systems.
• Degree in Systems Engineering or a related technical discipline.
