AVP, Digital Product Owner, Consumer Banking Group

About the role

DBS Consumer Banking Group, the leading bank in Asia, is looking for an AVP Digital Product Owner to lead and manage consumer banking projects and initiatives across its six key markets: Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, Indonesia and China. The role covers end-to-end delivery, from requirements gathering to release planning, quality assurance and go-live.

Key responsibilities

• Gather detailed requirements from the business lead, collaborate with stakeholders on UI sign-off, data requirements, copy text, notification templates and error scenarios.
• Manage squad capacity within budget, backlog and stakeholder expectations, and prioritise work for the cross-functional team based on delivery and ROI.
• Create the release plan with the Scrum Master, covering UAT, testing strategy, coverage, entry and exit criteria and implementation approach.
• Drive quality engineering and test automation adoption, using Playwright for web testing and Appium for mobile testing.
• Oversee delivery execution: QA quality, sprint demos, status reporting (velocity, aging tickets) and escalations, working with the QA manager on performance feedback.
• Promote AI-assisted delivery practices, including user story elaboration, acceptance criteria refinement, test scenario identification and test case generation, with human review and compliance.
• Handle UAT sign-off, track open items, manage the Go-Live plan and post-production support and handover.

Required profile

• Degree holder with 8 years of relevant experience; consumer banking and/or mobile and internet banking experience is an advantage.
• Strong IT background, preferably with experience implementing system projects.
• Experience with consumer and wealth banking products, mobile payments, cross-border payments, process improvement and international payment operations.
• Good understanding of SDLC models and expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management, able to blend them.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, good presentation skills for senior management meetings, and the ability to prioritise and categorise requirements.

Required skills

• Test automation principles, frameworks, regression automation and automation metrics.
• Playwright and Appium.
• Working knowledge of AI-enabled tools for delivery productivity, with appropriate review and governance.
