AVP, Financial Control – Asset Management (APAC)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced finance professional to join our APAC financial reporting team at a leading asset manager. The role will own end‑to‑end accounting and reporting for a portfolio of entities across the region, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for assigned APAC entities, coordinating planning, review and issue escalation.
• Manage core accounting processes including intercompany transactions, accruals, allocations and balance‑sheet substantiation.
• Collaborate with Treasury, Tax and other functional teams to ensure seamless reporting and compliance.
• Supervise and develop team members, fostering high‑quality execution and skill growth.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls over financial reporting, ensuring audit readiness.
• Oversee statutory and management reporting, including local GAAP financial statements, variance analysis and stakeholder commentary.
• Coordinate tax compliance activities such as corporate income tax, withholding tax, indirect taxes and transfer‑pricing support.
• Handle regulatory filings and ad‑hoc surveys for APAC jurisdictions.

Required profile

• CPA qualification with 6‑12 years of progressive financial reporting experience.
• In‑house reporting experience within a financial institution is a strong plus.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and local GAAP.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and organizational abilities.
• Proven stakeholder management and communication skills.
