AVP / VP - Tech Procurement Manager, Group Procurement Services

About the role

DBS is hiring an AVP / VP Tech Procurement Manager within its Group Procurement Services, reporting to the Group COO. The role partners with the Technology COO, contract owners and cross-functional stakeholders on technology sourcing and procurement, and supports the Team Head on enterprise-wide efficiency initiatives. It is based at the DBS Asia Hub and is a regular, full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Tech COO, contract owners and stakeholders on technology sourcing and procurement requirements, providing procurement advice, commercial challenge, negotiation support, supplier evaluation input and governance oversight.
• Develop contract and commercial strategies with the Tech COO, contract owners, business stakeholders and Legal, covering commercial terms, risk and governance.
• Drive compliance with procurement processes, third-party risk management policies and internal risk governance frameworks through stakeholder engagement, advisory support and guidance to business units.
• Conduct independent assessments of supplier engagements to protect supply chain integrity, reduce concentration and third-party risks, meet data privacy and security requirements and improve supply chain value.
• Build relationships with contract owners, stakeholders, control functions and supplier executives.
• Support the Team Head on efficiency initiatives such as workflow optimisation, process improvement, supplier base consolidation, aggregate buys and category management strategies.

Required profile

• Degree holder with at least 8 years of procurement experience and a proven track record of delivering strategies and bottom-line savings.
• Preferred: experience in indirect hardware and/or software technology procurement and team management.
• Strong integrity, ownership of goals and a will to win.

Required skills

• Strategic sourcing and procurement processes, able to advise, sell and fulfil the sourcing needs of internal decision makers.
• Working knowledge of third-party risk management, outsourcing governance and control requirements in a regulated environment.
