Backend Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join a forward‑thinking product and engineering team. You will help shape enterprise‑grade workplace solutions by building cloud‑native services that improve productivity and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders and cross‑functional teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Own the full delivery lifecycle – from estimation and design through implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Design, develop, and ship cloud‑native backend services using Python or Go.
• Apply engineering best practices to write clean, maintainable, well‑tested code and produce thorough documentation.
• Ensure reliable delivery of new features through robust infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and performance optimisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant full‑time or internship experience in backend or full‑stack development.
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, operating systems, networks, and databases.
• Experience working in Linux environments with exposure to Docker and Nginx.
• Passion for coding, innovation, and solving complex technical challenges.
• Preferred experience in web security and large‑scale distributed systems.
