Backend Software Engineer (Wallet)

About the role

Join TikTok’s Wallet team in Singapore to build and optimise a high‑performance, large‑scale distributed infrastructure that powers real‑time live streaming and in‑app payments. You will work on critical product features and collaborate closely with product managers to deliver a seamless experience for creators and audiences worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enhance TikTok Wallet and payment system, ensuring stability, agility and robustness.
• Design and improve system architecture for high stability, performance and reliability.
• Develop large‑scale backend services that power the TikTok app and support real‑time live streaming.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience building backend services for large‑scale consumer applications.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one language: Go, Python, Java or C++.
• Deep understanding of computer architectures, data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with designing and operating high‑performance, distributed systems.
