Building Construction Engineer

About the role

The Building Construction Engineer will support the project manager in delivering construction projects across Singapore. You will be responsible for technical coordination, documentation, and on‑site supervision to ensure projects meet quality, schedule, and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the project manager with on‑site and off‑site technical meetings.
• Prepare and submit architectural samples, shop drawings, and related documents to consultants and authorities.
• Coordinate and monitor site progress, conduct periodic inspections, and attend project meetings.
• Collaborate with sub‑contractors, RE, and RTO to ensure smooth execution.
• Develop procedures, detailed engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Plan monthly work schedules and set productivity targets.
• Conduct Material Take Off (MTO) and manage the List of Materials (LOM) to track project progress.
• Verify technical specifications for adequacy and disseminate them to supervisors.
• Identify product quality issues and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience on Singapore construction projects.
• Familiarity with construction sequences, method statements, and various trades.
• Ability to read and interpret construction and shop drawings.
• Understanding of ISO 9001 clauses; implementation or audit experience is a plus.
• Capability to monitor project KPI requirements.
