Building Inspector

About the role

Bureau Veritas is looking for an ambitious Building Inspector to join its team in Singapore. You will contribute to shaping a world of trust by ensuring the safety and integrity of civil engineering projects through thorough design review, inspection and technical support.

Key responsibilities

• Design review and management of geotechnical works such as ERSS, piling, ground improvement, slopes, etc.
• Assess, analyse and design slopes for various civil engineering projects.
• Prepare slope stability assessments, reports and design drawings.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate slope design into overall project plans.
• Provide technical support during construction phases to ensure design integrity.
• Plan and coordinate on‑site inspection work with clients or authorized parties.
• Carry out structural inspections of existing buildings or infrastructure to identify defects and required repairs.
• Report inspection outcomes to the QP and prepare reports in the designated format.
• Liaise with authorities (BCA, PUB, URA, etc.) on submissions.
• Verify subcontractor claims and track project progress, submitting regular progress payment claims to clients.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the civil engineering industry.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Required skills

• Proficiency in slope stability software.
• Proficiency with geotechnical engineering tools.
