Business & Corporate Development Manager – Partnerships

About the role

DeepMind is seeking a Business and Corporate Development Manager to lead strategic partnerships that accelerate AI research and product innovation. You will work closely with world‑leading researchers, engineers, and senior leadership to translate research breakthroughs into impactful collaborations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of DeepMind’s research, product and business strategy and align them with external partnership opportunities.
• Lead end‑to‑end agreement processes, negotiating complex joint‑research, technology and data licensing deals with industry, government and academic partners.
• Identify emerging trends, spot new partnership opportunities and shape the strategic partnership agenda.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for key external partners, ensuring long‑term success and maximizing collaboration impact.
• Collaborate with internal teams across Google to pursue high‑value partnership initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 10 years of experience negotiating research and product partnerships in an R&D setting.
• Proven track record of managing complex, first‑of‑their‑kind agreements.
• Strong ability to work cross‑functionally with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
