Business Development Executive

About the role

PIL is seeking an experienced Business Development Executive to support the Regional Head in driving growth across its maritime network. The role blends commercial development, market intelligence, analytics, and executive communications, acting as a strategic partner to shape and execute regional initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities, partnerships, and potential clients across the region.
• Support commercial discussions, proposal preparation, and negotiation activities.
• Maintain and nurture relationships with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
• Track pipeline progress, follow up on leads, and ensure delivery of commercial commitments.
• Assist the Regional Head in translating strategic priorities into actionable plans and monitor execution.
• Coordinate special projects, strategic initiatives, and cross‑functional workshops.
• Organise executive governance forums such as leadership meetings, business reviews, and steering committees.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development or commercial roles within shipping, logistics, or related sectors.
• Strong analytical capabilities and commercial acumen.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to work independently across multiple markets.
• Effective communication skills for executive‑level engagements.
