Business Development Manager – Freight Forwarding

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives across our freight forwarding, contract logistics, and project logistics services. The successful candidate will leverage market insight and an extensive network to generate new opportunities and expand our client base.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research and networking.
• Drive revenue growth across multiple product lines, including freight forwarding, contract logistics, and project logistics.
• Develop cross‑selling strategies to increase service uptake from both new and existing customers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key contacts in new and current accounts.
• Ensure high‑quality customer service to retain accounts and foster long‑term partnerships.
• Design and implement business plans that support expansion and improve growth strategies.
• Lead negotiations and prepare business proposals that align with organisational objectives.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in freight forwarding with a proven business development and sales track record.
• At least 2 years of leadership or people‑management experience.
• Demonstrated sales achievements in the freight forwarding sector (preferred).
• Mandarin language ability is a plus, as the role involves oversight of the Chinese market.
• Highly motivated, results‑driven, and eager to secure new accounts.
