CFO - Fintech IPO and Listing

About the role

OPay, a fintech company founded in 2019 that provides payment and digital wallet services in Africa and Asia, is hiring a CFO through a third-party agency for local employment in the US. The role covers listing matters, financial management of regional operations and strategic financial advice, with about 60-70% of the time worked from home and 30-40% in the OPay Singapore office.

Key responsibilities

• Own listing matters, including approving financial statements, public information, pricing, IPO and roadshow
• Set financial rules that fit the growth of overseas business across companies and regions
• Manage the financials of the regional company in each country, including the financial team, operations, budget supervision and management
• Track and analyse financial indicators and budgets, and give timely disclosure and early warnings to senior decision-makers
• Take part in major decisions and propose early warnings and measures on finance, capital, risk control and policy

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance and economics or above
• 10+ years of experience at top investment banks or technology corporations
• Solid knowledge of leading IPO processes, and experience leading M&A deals (pre- and post-investment) and US stock listings
• Experience as CFO or Chief Investment Officer in US-listed fintech companies is highly preferred
• US citizenship and investment banking experience
• Strategic thinking, strong influence and negotiation skills, global mindset and cross-cultural leadership
