Cloud Service Engineer

About the role

Microsoft is seeking an experienced Cloud Service Engineer to join its Sovereign Cloud Program. You will help design, build and operate the infrastructure that powers National Partner Clouds, ensuring secure cross‑domain data transfer and reliable access for local teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and support operations capabilities in high‑assurance, secure and highly‑available cloud environments.
• Develop and refine DevOps processes to improve operational efficiency while maintaining security compliance.
• Participate in 24/7/365 on‑call rotation, providing rapid incident response and problem resolution.
• Act as a liaison between global teams, promoting information sharing and process reuse.
• Collaborate with security groups to embed security standards throughout all work.
• Travel regularly to in‑country Sovereign Operations Centres to coordinate with local customers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience designing, building and operating complex IT environments.
