Commercial Director – APAC

About the role

The Commercial Director, APAC leads the Sales and Sales Operations teams across the Asia‑Pacific region, overseeing onboarding, coaching and performance of team members. Reporting to the General Manager, the role drives year‑over‑year profitable growth while maintaining high net‑promoter scores for customers in medical device, pharmaceutical, biologics and diagnostics segments.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage a high‑performance sales team, hiring, coaching and motivating members to achieve profitable growth.
• Collaborate with US and EMEA management to identify and optimise global growth opportunities.
• Develop and execute short‑ and long‑term customer acquisition and channel strategies for APAC markets.
• Monitor sales performance using metrics, reports and forecasts, ensuring alignment with the Berwind Code of Conduct.
• Design and manage sales incentive plans, territory targets and bonus structures.
• Lead training programmes on selling skills, product knowledge and financial literacy.
• Negotiate contractual agreements to minimise financial risk while preserving customer relationships.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Management, Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of sales management experience, preferably in medical healthcare packaging.
• Proven track record of building and retaining high‑performing sales teams.
• Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics across APAC.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work within a global professional team.
