Community Development Specialist II

About the role

The Community Development Specialist II will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of priority community initiatives across the Asia Pacific region. You will enable effective execution of student, CIP‑aligned, and specialized programs while building deeper ownership over time.

Key responsibilities

• Support coordination, delivery, and continuous improvement of student‑focused initiatives across APAC in partnership with local chapters.
• Act as liaison for emerging volunteer, specialized, and CIP‑aligned initiatives, managing intake, readiness, and alignment with chapters and global owners.
• Identify delivery gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities, and provide recommendations to regional leadership.
• Progressively assume greater ownership of defined programs based on demonstrated capability and organizational need.
• Support additional time‑bound or ad‑hoc initiatives as assigned by regional leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Education, or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in community management, engagement, or development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast‑paced team.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
• Strong sense of ownership and capability to bring structure to early‑stage or ambiguous initiatives.
• Experience with student, academic, or early‑career audiences is a plus.
• Experience in event or association management is a plus.
