Compliance Manager – Private Banking

About the role

The Compliance Manager for the Private Banking division will support the Head of Compliance in ensuring that all wealth‑management activities meet Singapore regulatory standards and internal policies. Based in Singapore, the role drives a culture of compliance across the business and safeguards the bank’s reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and continuously update the RWM compliance framework, conducting regular reviews and on‑site audits.
• Guide business units in completing self‑assessments and address root‑cause issues promptly.
• Prepare and submit accurate regulatory reports and escalate non‑compliance incidents to Group Compliance.
• Coordinate regulatory information requests, audits and liaise with Group Compliance, Risk, Operations, Legal and Internal Audit.
• Support the bank’s risk‑management framework, facilitating MCA/RCSA processes and tracking remediation plans.
• Mentor and coach staff on compliance policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and deliver targeted training on risk management and control procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve internal processes in line with new regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in compliance or risk management within private banking or wealth management.
• Strong knowledge of MAS guidelines and Singapore regulatory environment.
• Ability to conduct audits, perform root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills across compliance, risk, operations and legal functions.
• Leadership capability to guide and develop a compliance team.
