Cyber Security Engineer – Platform Operations (12‑month contract)

About the role

DBiz is seeking a Cyber Platform Engineer to join its Singapore team on a 12‑month contract (with possible extension). The consultant will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and managing the lifecycle of key cybersecurity platforms across multiple client projects.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain EDR, perimeter firewalls, DDoS/WAF services, and PAM solutions in client environments.
• Perform routine and ad‑hoc maintenance, including preventive health checks, patching, firmware upgrades, and onboarding/off‑boarding of assets.
• Execute firewall health checks, configuration reviews, and support on‑site visits when required.
• Maintain Linux (RHEL) based EDR servers, manage backups, patches, and troubleshoot endpoint sensors.
• Serve as first point of contact for DDoS/WAF and PAM administration, handling asset onboarding, SSL certificate renewals, and rule optimisation.
• Support security compliance, audits, and incident response activities, providing evidence, logs, and investigation reports.
• Keep backup and restoration plans current, coordinate annual restoration tests, and produce maintenance reports and SOPs.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in enterprise networking concepts such as TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, NAT, DNS and network segmentation.
• Hands‑on experience with Next‑Gen firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto) including policy creation, NAT/routing, log analysis and firmware upgrades.
• Proficiency in Linux (RHEL) administration and managing security‑related services.
• Experience with EDR platforms, DDoS/WAF solutions and Privileged Access Management tools.
• Disciplined approach to change management, documentation and audit support.
