Cybersecurity Architect – Product & Innovation

About the role

A leading technology-driven telecommunications organisation is expanding its cybersecurity capabilities to support new digital initiatives, innovation projects and critical infrastructure. It is looking for a product-focused Cybersecurity Architect with 5-10 years of cybersecurity/IT experience to design, assess and deliver secure architectures. The role works closely with Cybersecurity, Network, Cloud, Infrastructure, Application and Technology teams to embed Security-by-Design, Zero Trust and resilient security principles into new products and platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design and review cybersecurity architectures for enterprise, telecom and critical infrastructure environments, including threat modelling, risk assessments and security gap analysis.
• Define security requirements for new platforms, applications, APIs, cloud and infrastructure projects, and design solutions covering IAM, PAM, Zero Trust, network, API, cloud and infrastructure security.
• Define security architecture for multi-cloud infrastructure and for encryption, PKI, certificate lifecycle management, secrets management and cryptographic services.
• Evaluate cybersecurity technologies and vendors, and support RFP/RFQ, POC and technical evaluation activities.
• Assess security requirements for AI/ML, Generative AI and Agentic AI platforms, including air-gapped environments.
• Develop high-level designs, security architecture documents, control matrices, reference architectures and technical recommendations.
• Design, develop and deliver cybersecurity products, MVPs and production-ready solutions, and build reusable security frameworks and reference architectures.
• Drive Security-by-Design across applications, infrastructure, cloud platforms and digital services.

Required profile

• 5-10 years of cybersecurity/IT experience, including at least 3+ years in cybersecurity architecture or security engineering.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale security architecture and technology transformation initiatives.
• Experience across cloud, infrastructure, network, application and cybersecurity domains; telecom, critical infrastructure or large-scale technology experience preferred.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Preferred: CISSP, CCSP, CISM or equivalent certification.

Required skills

• Cybersecurity architecture, security engineering and threat modelling.
• Network and infrastructure security, cloud and Kubernetes security, and API security.
• IAM, PAM and Zero Trust architectures; PKI, HSM, KMS, encryption and cryptography.
• Familiarity with SIEM, XDR/EDR, CNAPP, WAF, identity and privileged access management platforms, and secrets and certificate management solutions.
