Data Centre Engineer – Entry Level

About the role

The Data Centre Engineer will support day‑to‑day operations of our island‑wide data centre in Singapore, ensuring smooth monitoring, incident handling and physical security on a rotating shift schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 12‑hour shift coverage on a 3‑days on / 3‑days off rotation, remaining attentive throughout the shift.
• Monitor data‑centre systems for alerts, raise and track incident tickets, and escalate to subject‑matter experts as needed.
• Verify and facilitate authorised visitor, contractor and vendor access, escorting them within controlled areas.
• Perform physical infrastructure checks, including rack access control, temperature monitoring and detection of unauthorised items.
• Register equipment movements, record serial numbers and conduct hardware inventory verification.

Required profile

• Diploma or Nitec/technical diploma in IT, Computer Engineering or related field (or equivalent).
• Basic understanding of data‑centre operations, IT infrastructure and common hardware such as servers, networking equipment, racks and cabling.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to follow SOPs, escalation procedures and security requirements with minimal supervision.
