Data Engineer – Security for E‑commerce Platform

About the role

You will join TikTok Shop’s E‑commerce Security team, which safeguards the platform and creates a trustworthy shopping environment for consumers, sellers and influencers. The role focuses on delivering reliable, scalable data solutions that enable real‑time security insights across TikTok Shop’s global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain the offline data warehouse for global e‑commerce security.
• Design data layers, data models and ETL pipelines to support security analytics.
• Define and enforce data‑warehouse standards to ensure data accuracy and consistency across regions.
• Collaborate with security analysts to translate detection requirements into data pipelines.
• Monitor pipeline performance and implement optimizations while meeting compliance and privacy standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in data engineering, preferably in large‑scale e‑commerce or security environments.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes and data‑quality best practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional security and product teams.
