Data Operations Engineer – Hedge Fund

About the role

You will own data quality within a fast‑moving, tech‑focused hedge fund. Working in a collaborative engineering team, you will monitor pipelines, spot anomalies early, and build tools that replace slow, manual processes with smarter, AI‑enhanced solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of data quality and reliability across the firm.
• Monitor data pipelines, detect and resolve anomalies before they impact production.
• Design and implement tools that automate manual workflows.
• Develop self‑healing infrastructure and continuously improve monitoring systems.
• Collaborate with engineers to integrate AI techniques that optimise data processes.

Required profile

• Strong Python programming skills.
• Solid experience with SQL and data manipulation.
• Proven track record using orchestration or ETL/ELT tools.
• Ability to build effective monitoring and self‑healing systems.
• Clear communicator with a proactive problem‑solving mindset.
