About the role
csit is looking for a Data Scientist Intern in Singapore for an undergraduate or pre-university internship lasting 2 to 4 months. The intern works closely with a mentor to deliver a system that meets the project requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Understand the project objective and requirements, and conduct a technology scan and proof-of-concept if required.
- Perform data pre-processing and feature engineering, and build and develop machine learning models.
- Present the system to management and users.
Required profile
- Prior knowledge of data mining or machine learning techniques, such as classification, anomaly detection and recommendation systems.
- Interest in possible projects including statistics and machine learning, data visualization, human language technologies and graph algorithms/analytics.
Required skills
- Proficiency in a programming language such as Python, including machine learning libraries like scikit-learn, NumPy/SciPy and pandas.
