Data Scientist – Lead AI & Data Projects

About the role

One Tech Stop is seeking a Data Scientist to lead end‑to‑end AI and data‑driven initiatives. The role bridges business stakeholders and technical teams, turning business challenges into practical AI solutions and overseeing projects from concept to production.

Key responsibilities

• Lead AI and Data Science projects through requirements, planning, development, testing, deployment and handover.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define clear project objectives and deliverables.
• Work with Data Scientists, Developers, Engineers and Technical Leads to build scalable solutions.
• Manage timelines, milestones, resources, risks and dependencies using Agile/Scrum.
• Coordinate UAT, production readiness, deployment and transition to operations.
• Present updates and technical findings to senior business stakeholders.
• Ensure proper documentation, approvals, governance and handover.
• Identify continuous‑improvement opportunities to boost productivity through AI and data technologies.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, Engineering, Business Analytics or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience delivering AI/Data projects, technical business analysis or project management.
• Proven track record managing projects across the AI/Data Science lifecycle.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and presentation abilities.
• Proactive, analytical and comfortable handling multiple projects.

Required skills

• AI/ML concepts and data‑driven solution design.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Agile/Scrum methodology expertise.
