Database Administrator (DB2) – Full Time

About the role

We are looking for a Database Administrator with strong expertise in DB2 on z/OS to join our IT team in Singapore. The role involves managing database environments, ensuring performance, availability and data governance while supporting application teams.

Key responsibilities

• Migrate data from Mainframe DB2 on z/OS to flatfiles using scripts or tools.
• Plan and execute database migrations and monitor performance and availability.
• Implement backup, restore and disaster recovery procedures to guarantee service continuity.
• Maintain database configurations, permissions, hardening and naming standards.
• Collaborate with application teams to review and optimise database design and SQL code.
• Develop and enforce standards, procedures and data governance policies.
• Provide regular reporting on service levels and performance metrics.

Required profile

• At least 4 years of hands‑on administration of DB2 on z/OS.
• Solid understanding of database design, implementation and operational support.
• Experience migrating DB2 data to flatfiles using scripts or tools.
• Knowledge of additional databases such as MS SQL Server or DB2 uDB is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) is an advantage.
