Deputy/Assistant Manager, Internal Audit

About the role

This Deputy/Assistant Manager, Internal Audit position covers risk-based financial, operational, IT application and other audit and advisory projects. It involves risk assessment, planning and carrying out audits of operational processes and systems, reporting results to Management and the Audit Committee/Board, and advising on governance, risks and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct risk-based financial, operational, IT application and other audits and advisory projects
• Assess risks, plan and carry out audits of operational processes and systems, using audit software for data analysis and work paper documentation
• Prepare reports and communicate results to Management and the Audit Committee/Board
• Review and advise on governance, risks and internal controls for new systems and processes, as requested by Management
• Participate in or assist ad-hoc projects of the IA sub-group

Required profile

• Knowledge of accounting, finance, business administration or equivalent
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in internal, operational and IT application system audits
• Professional qualifications such as CA, CIA or CISA preferred; experienced candidates may be considered for a senior appointment
• Able to work in teams and independently with minimal supervision

Required skills

• Good working knowledge of risk assessment, internal controls and data analytics
• Experience with data analytics and automation tools
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills
• Good report writing, communication and interpersonal skills
