Design Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead Front-End FAB design activities for semiconductor projects in Singapore. The role oversees multidisciplinary integration across process, facilities, architectural, structural, MEP, automation and production equipment, ensuring designs meet client and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead overall FAB design management and ensure alignment with client requirements, process criteria, design standards and regulations.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary disciplines (Process, Facilities, Architectural, Structural, MEP, Automation, Production Equipment) to integrate design interfaces.
• Develop and monitor design schedules, milestones and deliverables in line with the EPCK project timeline.
• Identify, track and resolve design interface and technical issues among stakeholders.
• Manage design quality, conduct design reviews and ensure constructability of drawings and specifications.
• Oversee design change management, assess impact on cost, schedule, space and system interfaces.
• Coordinate with procurement and construction teams, handling technical clarifications, vendor data, RFIs and site issues.
• Lead design coordination meetings, track decisions and actions to keep all disciplines aligned.

Required profile

• Proven experience in semiconductor and Front-End FAB design or engineering projects.
• Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or a related discipline; professional certification advantageous.
• Experience in multidisciplinary design coordination, engineering drawing review and interface management.
• Strong background in design change management, project schedule tracking and vendor coordination.
• Familiarity with Singapore construction practices and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work independently within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Proficiency in English and Chinese; additional languages a plus.
