Desktop Support Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Desktop Support Specialist to deliver fast, professional deskside IT support to our clients. You will work on‑site to diagnose, resolve and prevent desktop issues while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Perform on‑site analysis, diagnosis and resolution of desktop problems for clients.
• Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor and troubleshoot workstations, laptops, mobile devices and related hardware/software.
• Record, update and close tickets using ServiceNow.
• Collaborate with global support groups to troubleshoot complex client issues.
• Participate in disaster‑recovery testing exercises.
• Maintain accurate logs, reports and statistical monitoring of desktop operations.
• Create and update technical documentation and Knowledge‑Base articles.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 + years of experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk.
• Proven ability to support clients in a financial environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time‑management, organizational and analytical abilities.
• Capacity to work autonomously and as part of a team under pressure.

• Hardware troubleshooting (PCs, laptops, printers).
• Software troubleshooting and Windows migration.
• VPN, Soft Phones, Remote Desktop, VDI.
• Asset tracking and inventory management.
• Phone and tablet support (Windows, iPhone, iOS, Android).
• ServiceNow ticketing system.
