DevOps Consultant (AWS, CI/CD)

About the role

Activate Interactive, a technology consultancy in Singapore, is looking for a Cloud and DevOps Engineer to build, automate and maintain the cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines that support the delivery of web and mobile applications. The role works closely with development teams, Tech Leads and Project Managers to deliver reliable, secure and efficient deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline) for automated build, test and deployment.
• Provision and manage AWS infrastructure (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudFront) using infrastructure-as-code.
• Automate infrastructure with Terraform, CloudFormation or Ansible, and manage Docker and Kubernetes/ECS.
• Set up monitoring, logging and alerting (CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK).
• Enforce security best practices, including IAM policies, secrets management, patching and vulnerability remediation.
• Support release management, deployments and rollbacks, and manage cloud costs and resource usage.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and document architecture, pipelines and runbooks.
• Support compliance with public-sector security requirements and take part in security audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 3-5 years of hands-on DevOps/cloud infrastructure experience, mainly on AWS.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines in a team delivery environment and with infrastructure-as-code and container-based deployments.
• Desirable: AWS certification (e.g. Solutions Architect Associate, DevOps Engineer) and Kubernetes or Terraform certification.

• Infrastructure-as-code: Terraform or CloudFormation
• Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes or Amazon ECS/EKS
• Scripting (Bash, Python or similar) and monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK)
• Git and version control; networking, DNS, load balancing and security concepts
• Advantageous: experience with web/mobile stacks such as Node.js and ReactJS
