DevSecOps Engineer (Fixed-Term Contract)

About the role

Activate Interactive, a technology consultancy in Singapore, is hiring a DevSecOps Engineer for its Co-Development Business Unit. This is a fixed-term contract of 1 year. The role covers CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, cloud deployment and embedding security into the software development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage CI/CD pipelines with GitLab, and automate recurring tasks with reusable, modular scripts
• Use Terraform for infrastructure-as-code and deploy and configure complex systems on IaaS, PaaS and SaaS platforms
• Develop architecture and configuration plans for compute, storage, network, identity, security and management systems
• Manage and optimise AWS services such as ECS, ECR, Aurora, WAF, Network Firewall, Transit Gateway, ALB and NLB
• Implement security best practices: identity management, logging, monitoring and incident response, and embed security in the SDLC with developers and operations teams
• Run regular security assessments, vulnerability scans and penetration tests, and build monitoring, alerts and observability (including APM)
• Apply SRE concepts such as error budgets, toil reduction and SLI/SLO definitions, and drive infrastructure tasks from planning to completion

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience in DevSecOps and/or cloud infrastructure management
• Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines
• Scripting in Python or Bash for automation
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and security tools such as SCA and container scanning
• Preferred: GCC-2.0 or Singapore Government cloud experience, penetration testing, Ansible, AWS associate-level certification, secure coding background

• GitLab CI/CD pipelines
• Good to have: MS Entra, MS Graph API, AWS Lambda (Python serverless)
