Director AI & Data Science

About the role

In partnership with a leading financial services organisation in Singapore, Infinite People is recruiting a Director AI & Data Science. This strategic leadership role turns emerging AI capabilities, data science and Generative AI into practical business solutions that improve customer experience, operational efficiency, risk management and decision-making. The successful candidate works with senior business and technology leaders to define the AI roadmap, build organisational capabilities and drive AI adoption at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the organisation's AI and Data Science strategy and roadmap.
• Lead the development and implementation of AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI and advanced analytics solutions.
• Identify high-value AI opportunities across business and corporate functions.
• Take AI initiatives from proof of concept through to production and enterprise-wide adoption.
• Lead and develop a team of data scientists, machine learning specialists, AI engineers and analytics professionals.
• Partner with Technology, Data, Risk, Compliance, Legal and business leadership teams.
• Establish AI governance, model risk, data, privacy and responsible AI frameworks.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, AI platforms, vendors and strategic partnerships.
• Present AI strategy, opportunities, investment cases and outcomes to senior leadership, and set KPIs to measure their impact.

Required profile

• Significant leadership experience across AI, Data Science, Machine Learning or Advanced Analytics.
• Experience leading AI transformation in a large or complex organisation.
• Previous experience in financial services, banking, insurance, fintech, asset management or another regulated environment.
• Proven track record delivering AI solutions from strategy and experimentation to production.
• Experience building and developing multidisciplinary AI/data teams.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or a related field; advanced qualifications are advantageous.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, Machine Learning, NLP and modern AI architectures.
• Understanding of AI governance, model risk, data privacy, cybersecurity and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, including engagement with C-suite executives.
