Director, Media Planning

About the role

WPP Media is seeking a seasoned Director of Media Planning to lead integrated media strategy for a leading financial services brand across Southeast Asia. You will shape media plans, oversee execution, and ensure campaigns deliver measurable impact for the client.

Key responsibilities

• Develop holistic, insight‑driven media plans spanning digital and traditional channels in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and Singapore.
• Provide strategic direction and hands‑on oversight for brand and performance media campaigns, ensuring best‑in‑class execution on platforms such as Meta, TikTok, Google and programmatic channels.
• Serve as senior client liaison, building trusted relationships and leading high‑level conversations about business objectives and growth.
• Collaborate with WPP Media teams across local markets to drive consistent, high‑quality output and effective ways of working.
• Own campaign performance, set up reporting frameworks, drive in‑flight optimisation and ensure KPI delivery.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in media planning and strategy, preferably within the financial services or related sector.
• Strong understanding of Southeast Asian media landscapes and consumer behavior.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with a track record of senior client engagement.
• Ability to lead and inspire a high‑performing planning team.
