Director of Advanced Packaging Disruptive Technology

About the role

Based in Singapore, the Director of Advanced Packaging Disruptive Technology will define and drive the long‑range strategy for next‑generation (N+2 and beyond) packaging solutions. The role sits at the intersection of technology disruption, customer insight and ecosystem co‑innovation, translating early‑stage ideas into scalable, differentiated products.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a multi‑year roadmap for advanced packaging, identifying inflection points in integration, interconnect, materials and architectures.
• Lead concept incubation and feasibility studies for disruptive approaches such as novel interconnect schemes, heterogeneous integration and advanced substrate innovations.
• Build and inspire a high‑impact path‑finding team, establishing frameworks for idea generation, rapid prototyping and down‑selection.
• Engage with key customers and ecosystem partners to translate market trends into actionable technology development strategies.
• Establish governance models for early‑stage programs and drive alignment across engineering, product and business units to move concepts into development pipelines.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in semiconductor technology, advanced packaging or related domains.
• Proven leadership in technology path‑finding, innovation strategy or early‑stage platform development.
• Advanced degree (PhD/MS) in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or a related field is preferred.
• Track record of delivering disruptive or first‑of‑its‑kind technology solutions.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of advanced packaging technologies such as D2W, RDL, CoWoS and TSV.
• Expertise in semiconductor materials, heterogeneous integration and chiplet ecosystems.
• Strong ability to translate complex technology concepts into business impact.
