Director, Sales Engineering – ASEAN

About the role

Datadog is seeking a Director of Sales Engineering to lead a high‑performing team across the ASEAN and Greater China region. Based in Singapore, you will shape regional strategy, drive deal execution, and partner with senior sales leadership to accelerate enterprise growth.

Key responsibilities

• Own in‑field execution for strategic, high‑impact opportunities, providing senior‑level technical credibility and stakeholder alignment.
• Develop and operationalize repeatable methodologies that scale across a large customer base, showcasing Datadog’s observability and security solutions.
• Partner with sales leadership on multi‑quarter planning, capacity forecasting, and go‑to‑market strategy.
• Lead, coach, and grow a team of Sales Engineering managers and individual contributors, handling hiring, onboarding, and performance management.
• Manage regional operations including resource allocation, KPI tracking, and productivity metrics.

Required profile

• 5+ years leading Sales Engineering teams in a customer‑facing technical organization.
• 10+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or related technical roles.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and navigate complex joint‑selling motions.
• Strong communication, storytelling, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Passion for building scalable processes and fostering an inclusive team culture.
