About the role

The Division Director will lead the Financial Reporting and Standards Department, driving strategic programmes that enhance public accountancy standards. This senior position offers the opportunity to shape regulatory initiatives and ensure high‑quality financial reporting across the sector.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and advice to management, aligning with international accounting bodies and strengthening regulatory practices.
• Develop staff capabilities, foster leadership, and support talent development to meet organisational priorities.
• Lead transformative regulatory initiatives, focusing on process improvements and technology adoption for greater efficiency.
• Oversee environmental scanning to keep the department abreast of developments in accounting and auditing standards.
• Engage with the public accountancy sector to gather insights and address emerging financial reporting issues.
• Direct the review and updating of policies and legislation to meet evolving regulatory needs.
• Collaborate with government agencies and participate in committee meetings to influence policy development.
• Build and maintain networks within the international regulatory community.

Required profile

• Recognised degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in accounting and auditing, with a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks.
• Mandatory prior experience in a Big 4 accounting firm.
• Proven leadership and management skills, with a track record of driving change.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with local and international stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills and the capacity to provide strategic insights in a complex environment.
