Electrical Design Engineer – FPGA & PCB

About the role

We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to contribute to the development of highly integrated electrical sub‑systems that combine FPGA and PCB technologies. The role involves designing, validating and documenting both FPGA and PCB components within a systems‑engineered environment.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in development projects for integrated electrical sub‑systems using PCBs and FPGAs.
• Design FPGA architecture, implement logic, integrate with PCB and validate performance.
• Design PCB architecture, select components, create schematics, review layouts and conduct PCB bring‑up and validation.
• Create test plans and perform technical analysis to validate designs at bench and system level.
• Generate design documentation and present results during design reviews.
• Apply systems‑engineering principles to optimise designs at the system level.

Required profile

• MSEE degree or BSEE with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, including signal integrity, high‑speed digital design and hardware‑software integration.
• Experience with FPGA and embedded board‑level design (preferred).
• Familiarity with motor and motion control concepts (a plus).
• Understanding of camera systems and image acquisition (a plus).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Hands‑on experience with laboratory equipment such as logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
