Electrical Technician (High Voltage)

About the role

The role involves building, repairing and testing high‑voltage electrical, electro‑mechanical, vacuum and pneumatic assemblies using work orders, schematics and wiring diagrams. You will work on routine tasks in a safe, clean environment while following all health‑and‑safety procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Build, repair and test electrical, electro‑mechanical, vacuum and pneumatic assemblies and sub‑assemblies.
• Interpret work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams and parts lists.
• Perform electro‑mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting and repair.
• Identify and correct errors, inspect parts for defects and improve processes.
• Use test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors and vacuum pumps to verify assemblies.
• Enter progress, expense and labour data into computer systems.
• Carry out computer programming, software installation and repairs as required.

Required profile

• Nitec, Higher Nitec or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Relevant work experience or internship/academic background in a related field.
• Willingness to work shift patterns (AM, PM, Graveyard) with available shuttle bus.
