Engineering Assistant – Quality

About the role

Aptiv is looking for an Engineering Assistant in Quality to support its manufacturing operations. You will help monitor first‑time quality, drive process improvements, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor first‑time quality and identify under‑performing processes.
• Lead material review teams and generate/update workmanship standards.
• Maintain quality engineering documentation and system records.
• Handle customer complaints, perform root‑cause analysis, and report findings.
• Conduct data analysis to develop preventive actions.
• Support start‑up activities for new production models or products.
• Perform periodic quality system audits.

Required profile

• Diploma in Science or Engineering.
• At least 1 year of experience in a quality role, preferably in manufacturing or semiconductor environments.
• Proactive attitude with strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work overtime on weekdays or weekends when required.

Required skills

• Application of quality engineering tools.
• Six Sigma methodology.
• Knowledge of quality system standards such as IATF 16949 and ISO 9000.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
