Engineering Specialist (Sputter Maintenance)

About the role

As an Engineering Specialist in Sputter Maintenance, you will ensure the reliability and performance of our sputtering tools used in magnetic media production. You will carry out preventive maintenance, product conversions, and troubleshoot both electrical and mechanical issues while collaborating with engineering teams to drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and product conversion of sputtering equipment.
• Execute equipment troubleshooting, addressing chronic electrical and mechanical problems.
• Work with equipment and process engineers to improve tool reliability, OEE, and reduce product defects.
• Lead safety, cost‑saving, and productivity improvement projects.
• Utilise data analytics and machine‑learning tools for advanced troubleshooting.
• Develop expertise in vacuum technology and support ongoing learning initiatives.

• Team player with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Willingness to work in a clean‑room environment and on a 12‑hour shift pattern.
