Engineering Technician

About the role

The Engineering Technician will ensure the smooth operation of all hotel building services and equipment at Fairmont Singapore and Swissôtel The Stamford. You will be responsible for preventive maintenance, repairs, and emergency response across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection and life‑safety systems.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and maintain hotel systems, devices, controls and equipment.
• Analyse utility data and logs to optimise efficiency and address variances.
• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs and retrofits on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire‑protection and life‑safety systems.
• Record and analyse operating logs; take immediate corrective actions when required.
• Handle emergency repair situations promptly and safely.
• Supervise external contractors to ensure quality workmanship.
• Update daily maintenance logs and complete work order forms.

Required profile

• NTC 2 qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in facilities or hotel engineering.
• Relevant licence (PUB Electrician Licence or equivalent) issued by the appropriate authority.
• Ability to work independently under high‑stress conditions.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, lift up to 20 kg and use ladders or stairs regularly.
