Enterprise Solutions Architect - Greater China Region

About the role

As an Enterprise Solutions Architect at ClickHouse, you’ll own the technical side of the sales cycle for enterprise accounts across Greater China. You’ll work with data platform engineers, architects, SRE teams and senior executives to design solutions that meet demanding performance, reliability and compliance requirements, and prove them at production scale.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical evaluations for enterprise accounts from discovery through proof‑of‑concept, architecture sign‑off, security review and first production workload.
• Design production‑scale solutions covering sizing, sharding, replication, ingestion topology, tiered storage, cost modelling and failure handling.
• Compete against incumbents such as Elasticsearch, Splunk, Snowflake, BigQuery, Druid, Pinot and custom‑built systems using reproducible benchmarks.
• Own migration planning – sequencing, dual‑run, validation and cut‑over – to ensure smooth production rollout.
• Clear security and procurement hurdles by handling questionnaires, compliance artifacts, network/identity architecture and data‑residency requirements.

Required profile

• Fluent in Mandarin and English, able to run deep technical workshops in both languages.
• Strong background in data infrastructure as a data engineer, platform engineer, DBA or solutions architect.
• Hands‑on experience operating analytical databases (ClickHouse, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Druid, Pinot, Vertica).
• Proven record of winning technical evaluations against named competitors and designing complex migrations.
• Customer‑facing experience in pre‑sales, consulting or technical account management.

• Distributed systems concepts: partitioning, replication, consistency, sharding, query execution.
• Security review processes, data residency compliance and BYOC/private deployment models.
