Executive Engineer / Engineer (Business Requirements) - AFC

About the role

The Business Requirements team is looking for an Executive Engineer / Engineer to analyse and define the users' requirements for the Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system used by commuters and public transport operators of buses and MRT/LRT. The role also covers the implementation of Account-Based Ticketing, which lets passengers pay fares with credit and debit cards.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and establish the users' requirements for the AFC system used by bus and rail operators.
• Understand how Account-Based Ticketing is implemented at bus and rail ticketing systems.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to turn business and operational needs into feasible, sustainable requirements.
• Communicate the requirements clearly to different target groups.

Required profile

• Background in Information Technology or Engineering.
• Understanding of the system implementation lifecycle, preferably with at least one project where project requirements were analysed.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Advantage: internships in payment systems or Automatic Fare Collection systems using smart cards.
