Executive Housekeeper

About the role

The Executive Housekeeper leads the housekeeping department of a hotel, ensuring rooms and public areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This role combines operational management, budgeting, and team leadership to drive profitability and service excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing departmental labour and expenses, and contribute to the annual operating budget.
• Monitor and control expenses, analyse variances and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Conduct regular linen and supplies inventory, set par levels and replenish shortages.
• Provide daily leadership to the housekeeping team, including shift briefings and performance monitoring.
• Coordinate with other departments (sales, catering, finance, maintenance, guest services) to ensure seamless operations.
• Oversee recruitment, training, performance evaluations and recognition programmes.
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations and IHG Way of Clean procedures.
• Handle guest requests, complaints and service recovery actions promptly.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or a similar supervisory role.
• Strong analytical skills for budgeting and expense control.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to train, motivate and develop staff.
• Customer‑focused mindset with a commitment to high service standards.
