Executive – Transshipment Network Optimization

About the role

This position focuses on improving transshipment cost efficiency by advancing cargo connections, highlighting potential overbooking, and streamlining processes for dangerous goods and refrigerated shipments.

Key responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to move dangerous‑goods and reefer shipments to earlier sailings by analysing vessel schedules, connection windows and space capacity.
• Coordinate with the transshipment team to execute these advancements.
• Send weekly overbooking reports to space controllers for the next 2‑3 weeks.
• Update PSA transshipment plans, verify PSA invoices and attend bi‑monthly PSA meetings.
• Handle cargo clearance permits, verify documentation and ensure timely submissions.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
• Support system enhancements, conduct UAT and assist with new tool roll‑outs.
• Collaborate with IT, Operations and other stakeholders to resolve system issues.
• Maintain up‑to‑date process documentation and work instructions.
• Assist with ad‑hoc projects as required.

Required profile

• Diploma holder with container‑shipping experience or a recent university graduate.
• Strong analytical mindset and interest in data‑driven solutions.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced Excel (including VBA).
• Proficiency with Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with Power BI, basic SQL and Portnet (advantage).
