Finance Manager

About the role

The Finance Manager supports Conservation International’s Singapore office and regional hub, ensuring compliance with finance and accounting controls, grant policies, and local reporting requirements. The role provides timely financial information to enable informed decision‑making and supports the organization’s fundraising and strategic planning activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage routine financial transactions, including expense reports, cash‑flow requests, and accounts for CI Asia‑Pacific and CI Singapore Conservation Trust.
• Process accounts‑payable invoices, vendor payments, employee reimbursements, and payroll in line with CI policies.
• Review staff claims and credit‑card expenses, providing secondary checks to minimize risk and prevent fraud.
• Ensure all transactions meet compliance and regulatory requirements for charity status.
• Prepare and deliver financial reports to management, donors, and HQ, monitoring budget versus actual expenses.
• Develop budgets, revenue forecasts, and cost proposals to support fundraising initiatives.
• Collaborate with management and HQ to implement audit findings and improve financial processes.

Required profile

• Independent professional with strong attention to detail.
• Experience in finance or accounting within a non‑profit or grant‑making environment.
• Knowledge of donor and grant management policies and compliance standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with HQ, management, and program staff.
• Comfortable handling routine duties without direct supervision.
