Financial Analyst - AGS Operations

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions for semiconductors and advanced displays, is hiring a Financial Analyst for its AGS Operations function. The role supports APAC operations finance activities, including standard and exception inventory, costing, repairs and TKM-related topics, and acts as a first point of contact for level-1 questions from APAC business partners.

Key responsibilities

• Complete detailed analysis and commentary for finance and non-finance executives, and develop complex models for strategic plans, business sizing and performance management.
• Perform analysis for close, flash or commit with minimal oversight on recurring tasks, and present findings to stakeholders, sometimes acting as a direct business partner with non-finance management.
• Take part in or lead system integration or process improvement initiatives.
• Support APAC operations finance on inventory, costing, repairs and TKM topics, and serve as first point of contact for level-1 questions, routing or escalating complex issues.
• Build working knowledge of returns processes and help stakeholders define problem statements and gaps.
• Support inventory decisions for APAC legal entities through analysis, research and coordination with Planning and Local SSC Controllers.
• Partner with APAC operations leaders and finance counterparts to improve responsiveness and decision speed, and provide project management support for cross-functional initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field.
• Familiarity with supply chain financial concepts.
• Experience in a semiconductor, supply chain or manufacturing environment is an advantage.
• Ability to work across regions and time zones, and effective communication skills.

Required skills

• SAP and Tableau or other data analytics tools.
• Project management, communication and stakeholder coordination.
• APAC customs familiarity is a plus.
